Bottom line as soon as a monster like Putin is recognized democracies around the world must act in concert to get rid of them. When Putin usurped democracy in Russia the handwriting was on the wall and now we all suffer. He appeared at the time to be a Russian problem but lack of support for his opposition in Russia ultimately led us to Ukraine. Can we ever learn to rid ourselves of these autocrats foreign or domestic? The crime of autocracy or attempted autocracy should be the death penalty.
